About the Author
I am a psychotherapist and writer with a longstanding interest in how people live, adapt, and find steadiness in a complicated world.
My clinical work focuses on helping people clarify what matters to them, understand the patterns shaping their thoughts and emotions, and make practical changes that support greater balance and well-being. I draw from dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, cognitive and behavioral approaches, positive psychology, narrative therapy, and existential psychology. For many years, I have led DBT skills groups and worked with individuals navigating emotional intensity, stress, life transitions, and questions of identity and purpose. Across approaches, my orientation is simple: to listen carefully, think clearly, and help people align their choices with their values.
In addition to my clinical work, I run a private group psychotherapy practice, which I have owned and operated since 2007. My background includes work in hospitals, treatment centers and assessment services, and I continue to mentor and supervise clinicians entering the field. These experiences have shaped a clinical style that is practical, collaborative, and grounded in real world challenges. Along the way, I have remained drawn to the intersection of psychology, philosophy, science, spirituality, and lived experience, particularly how both ancient ideas and modern research can inform a thoughtful, balanced life.
This blog is an extension of that work. It is a place to explore ideas related to happiness, meaning, and psychological well being in a reflective, accessible way, without oversimplifying or offering easy answers. The intention is less to provide conclusions and more to invite curiosity and conversation.
